Owl Perch / Lodge Pole Loop
Denver, CO

Owl Perch / Lodge Pole Loop
Located on the north-facing slope of a beautiful meadowed valley, Meyer Ranch Park is just 30 minutes west of metro Denver. Once a working ranch and ski hill, the park’s nearly 400 montane acres have been designated as open space by Jefferson County. Owl Perch Trail meanders up to meet Lodge Pole Loop, which rambles through field and forest, descending quickly on the return. Within sight of the fenced trailhead parking area (where trail maps are available) is a lush meadow full of surprising wildflowers. The visitor need not walk far to count a few dozen species. Wildflower alert: A flower-filled meadow at the start and columbine along the way.
