Mount Sniktau Summit Trail – Grizzly Peak Traverse
Sniktau’s easy access and familiar confines mean you’ll have a quick drive from the Denver/Boulder/Golden area. An uphill push from the pass grants you access to this scenic ridge, which runs from the valley in I-70 to 14,267- foot Torreys Peak (and beyond). Because the entire hike is above the trees, you’ll have grandiose 360-degree views the entire hike. After the moderate climb to Sniktau, roll south on the sky-high ridge to Grizzly Peak. It’s a class 2 scramble up the northwest face of the Grizz. From the summit, Grays and Torreys peaks look enormous.
