Mount Flora Trail
Since the trail is above timberline, drawbacks include exposure to Colorado’s ever-changing weather. There is also no gurgling stream or alpine lake, so bring along plenty of water for yourself and for your pet (there is one possibility of water in a rather wet section on the west ridge of Mount Flora, where there are several springs seeping to the surface). Your pet can be off-leash, but be certain to keep your dog from chasing ptarmigans or picas that you will meet along the way.
