Mount Evans Wilderness: Mount Bierstadt Trail
Mount Bierstadt and Mount Evans are two of the closest fourteeners to Denver. (A fourteener is any mountain peak above 14,000 feet.) Mount Bierstadt is easy to find and fairly easy to navigate. The trail is steep in places. A 3-mile summit reached from the Guanella Pass approach is a great way to start an addiction to the Colorado Fourteeners.
