Mount Antero Trail
Buena Vista, CO

Mount Antero Trail
At 14,269 feet, Mount Antero is the tenth-highest Fourteener. To start, take the left (east) road fork and cross Baldwin Creek. The creek crossing is the last source of reliable water, so make sure your dog is well hydrated and is cool when you start hiking. Continue climbing for 1.3 miles on a steepening terrain before coming to a series of tight, short and steep switchbacks that will tax your stamina and that of your dog for the next 1 mile.
