Mosca Pass
Constituting the "preserve" portion of the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve are a string of summits within the Sangre de Cristo Mountains that tower over the dunes to the east. The 3.5-mile Mosca Pass Trail offers a nice introduction to the forested portions of these peaks. The Mosca Pass Trail begins by following the Montville Nature Trail east.
