Meadows Trail
Willey Lumber Camp, CO

Meadows Trail
This trail winds through a superb old-growth forest of tall, stately fir and spruce trees. If you’d like a shorter trip, you can park a car shuttle at Zimmerman Lake Trailhead. If you start at Zimmerman Lake instead of at Meadows Trailhead, it is mostly downhill. It’s a satisfying out-and-back from either end with nice viewpoints and picnic possibilities along the way. Visit in midsummer (after midsummer the wetlands have dried out). The trail enters the Neota Wilderness about halfway to Zimmerman Lake; from that point on you can follow the markers for the cross-country ski/snowshoe trail.
