Meadowlark Trail Loop
The Meadowlark Trail is for hikers only, so if you are hiking on a weekend when there is heavy trail use by bicyclists, this trail will take you and your pet away from the traffic. There are pleasant picnic shelters near the trailhead, so you may like to lunch here after this short hike through meadows and groves of scrub oak. Start on the Plymouth Creek Trail as it heads southwest. The trail ascends through sandy, dry meadow with intermittent scrub oak stands before dropping to Plymouth Creek where it crosses the creek on a bridge. Large boulders form shallow pools of water where your dog can get a drink and wet his paws.
