Marmot Point
From the windswept summit of Marmot Point, the natural wonderland that is Rocky Mountain National Park is etched in alpine clarity. Chances are you'll reach this summit alone, and chances are you'll never forget the beauty of the journey. The Mummy Range seems but a heartbeat away-you are separated from the peaks by the deep and mysterious forested canyon below. To the east and south rise Longs Peak and its silvery brethren. To the west, the Never Summer Range barricades the blue, mesa-topped landscape beyond. Keep in mind that you are climbing at altitude-pause often to catch your breath.
