Lower Dadd Gulch Trail
This is a shady, delightful trail near Rustic that rolls and gently climbs its way through some uniquely beautiful foothills terrain, crossing several streams and weaving through ponderosa pines, tall cottonwood trees, lodgepole pines, and aspens. The top end of the trail opens up for some great views of the high foothills that would be a major mountain range in most other states. On the return, you will enjoy views of the rock outcrops that top the Poudre Canyon. The trail tops out on a ridge and Dadd Gulch Road comes up the other side from Crown Point Road. You can picnic next to the Poudre River after your hike is over and cool your heels.
