Little Cimarron Trail to Sheep Mountain
Montrose, CO

Little Cimarron Trail to Sheep Mountain
A remote and visually prominent thirteener with a high level of solitude. The summit of Sheep Mountain is highly sought after by Colorado peak baggers, as it is a prominent mountain when viewed from any direction. Beginning from the more easterly of the Little Cimarron Trailheads will cut the distance and difficulty of this hike down to size—though it still involves 3,700 feet of elevation gain.
