Lawn Lake Trailhead: Ypsilon Trail to Upper Chipmunk Campsite
This hike is full of drama: the Y-shaped, snow-filled scar on Ypsilon Mountain; Horseshoe Falls and the canyon gorged by the escaped dam waters of Lawn Lake; and the lung-busting climb of the Ypsilon Trail. You’ll be widely entertained— not to mention sufficiently tired—at the end of this hike to the Upper Chipmunk Campsite, which is located between Chipmunk Lake and Ypsilon Lake and provides access to both. Outstanding Features: Horseshoe Falls, Chipmunk Lake, Ypsilon Mountain and Ypsilon Lake, forest, Roaring River
