Larson Lakes and Crystal Lake Loop
Diverse terrain on a loop hike with no car shuttle necessary. The Larson Lakes and Crystal Lake Trails intersect not far from the northern reach of the Ridge Stock Driveway and can therefore be used as means of access to the central and western portions of the Uncompahgre Wilderness. Most of the traffic on these trails, however, appears to consist of day hikers enjoying either the loop hike or one of the trails individually. This loop may also be hiked in the opposite direction, starting with the Crystal Lake Trail. Either way it provides a strenuous and scenic outing.
