Lake Ann
A day hike to Lake Ann or the Continental Divide. This trail climbs to a high pass above the alpine basin of Lake Ann. It has recently been extended westward and descends to the Timberline Trail as part of the Durango Spur of the Continental Divide Trail. There are fishing opportunities at Lake Ann, as well as opportunities to view mountain wildlife. Both Lake Ann and the Continental Divide make practical goals for day hikers. Backpackers should be aware that the Timberline Trail is open to dirt bikes, and for this reason it can be hazardous to hikers and equestrians.
