The short hike to this clear, forest-fringed jewel in the high country is an alpine odyssey available to most every hiker, and so this is a popular destination. Early in the hike the trail forks, providing options both for ambitious rock scramblers and for those drawn to forest serenity. Agnes Lake’s two-fish limit (flies and lures only) and stunning surroundings satisfy anglers of all ages.
