Indian Peaks Wilderness: Devil’s Thumb Lake Trail
The hike to the Devil’s Thumb Lake is one of the classic hikes into Indian Peaks Wilderness. It is also one of the most popular, and often crowded, area hikes. This trail takes you into beautiful scenery that includes alpine meadows, mountain lakes, and views of snowcapped mountains. The hike is long and often wet, but full of waterfalls in late spring and early summer. The trail crosses gently sloping terrain interspersed with steep stretches.
