Hummingbird / Songbird Loop
This is a hiker's hike-a good old-fashioned up-and-down loop that traverses a virtual bonanza of ecosystems. The trail launches up the arid south-and west-facing slopes of Kennedy Gulch. After a brief dip into the shade of a forested gully, you emerge on a wind-blown ridge crest, then plummet to the Songbird Trail, which meanders streamside through a dense riparian zone. Like others in this area, the Reynolds Ranch has an interesting history.
