Horsetooth Mountain Trail
Just 5 of the 28 miles nestled in Horsetooth Mountain Park, this lollipop trail offers wonderful views of much of Colorado’s dynamic landscape. It is a great place to bring the family; the entire park encompasses 2500 acres of land and is accessible for hikers, bikers, and horses. Perched at over 7000 feet, Horsetooth Mountain is a familiar symbol for those dwelling in nearby Fort Collins. This hike climbs steadily through forested hogbacks right up to the rock, with long-distance views of the towns below and the high plains to the east.
