Harvard Lakes
Hike along a segment of the Colorado Trail to two sublime lakes that promise rest and reflection. As winter approaches in Week 43, the hiker should seek lower destinations, in areas which normally experience less snowfall. This hike to Harvard Lakes is in what locals call the “banana belt” of the Arkansas Valley, which experiences milder temperatures and less snowfall in the winter then comparable areas. It follows a portion of the Colorado Trail, collinear with the Main Range Trail.
