This is a heavily used and very popular trail that is easily accessible from Fort Collins. The summit of Greyrock is of geologic interest: It is a massive granitic intrusion that has weathered to its rounded shape through exfoliation. The summit block provides popular rock-climbing routes.Watch for poison ivy along the way. The trail near the summit is not marked, and over the years hikers have become lost and required rescue help.Dogs on leash are permitted.
