Greyrock Mountain
A warm, south-facing slope and some fun scrambling — spring hiking doesn’t get much better than this. For this early in the hiking season, a good hike will be on a south facing slope with not too much elevation, and in an area which doesn't receive a large amount of snowfall. The Greyrock Mountain Trail meets all these specifications perfectly and provides some enjoyable, easy rock scrambling near the summit. The trail isn’t that well marked near the top and a wrong turn is possible. If that happens, double back and try again. The summit block is popular with rock climbers.
