Green Mountain Trailhead: Tonahutu Creek Trail to Renegade Campsite to Flattop Mountain
This is a rare hike that traverses the Continental Divide and takes hikers from the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park to the east side. Renegade is a good stopping point and an even better campsite. There are plenty of options in this hike; the first is a start at Green Mountain Trailhead, camp at Renegade, hike to Flattop Mountain, and then turn around. If you want to hike to Renegade, camp, and then turn around, that’s great, too. A final option is to hike from Green Mountain Trailhead to Bear Lake Trailhead. This requires arranging a shuttle ride from either trailhead. Outstanding Features: Meadows, forest, timberline, tundra, waterfall, creek
