Geissler Mountain Summit Trail Rimwalk
If you’ve ever driven over Independence Pass, you’ve no doubt looked up at the big peaks in the area and wondered what their names are and how to reach them. The Geissler Mountain may well be among those that have piqued your curiosity. The mountain of many peaks is very easy to access, and you have a ton of options once you are in the area. The Geissler summits (four in all) present a fun, class 2 ridge traverse that opens up incredible views from Aspen to Leadville. For those who love scrambling and want a longer, more challenging day, the Twining-Geissler Loop hits the whole rim—an exciting and novel experience!
