East Snowmass Creek Overlook Trail
Snowmass Village, CO

East Snowmass Creek Overlook Trail
Nearly every ski resort in Colorado has developed hiking and mountain biking trails on its slopes—a summertime lure for visitors. Riding the lifts to the trails opens wonderful worlds to families, to those who are short on time but have a hankering for a high-country jaunt, and to skiers who want to ride a lift in August or scope the contours of the mountain without its blanket of wintertime snow. The East Snowmass Creek Overlook Trail is one of the few hiking-only trails accessed via lifts at the Snowmass Ski Area. It winds around Sam’s Knob to a stunning vista point overlooking the steep canyon carved by East Snowmass Creek. The path is lined with interpretive markers.
