Dowdy Lake Trail
A pleasant, easy, and scenic stroll heads around a most comely mountain lake punctuated by striking rock outcrops dating from the last ice age. I imagine the lake was a favorite watering hole for the Ute Indians who inhabited the area from about 4000 years ago until the 1860s when they were forced to leave. The nice campground is very popular, so reservations are necessary.
