Located in south-central Colorado in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, about 50 miles northeast of Alamosa, 20 miles southwest of Westcliffe, and 10 miles north of Great Sand Dunes National Monument. The higher of twin 14,000-foot towers demands a strenuous climb up steep couloirs and exposed rock ledges, usually after an overnight camp.
