Carbonate Creek
A day hike to pass at head of Carbonate Creek, or semi-loop to Crystal City Road. This trail climbs over a high alpine divide behind the granite crag of Daly Peak. For day hikers, the high meadow at the 2.2-mile mark makes a fine one-way destination with sweeping mountain views. With a two-car (four-wheel-drive) shuttle, the trail can also be combined with the North Lost Trail Creek–Arkansas Mountain route for a longer day hike through the high country.
