California Peak
A straightforward hike to a high summit. Compared to the other summit hikes in the Sangre de Cristo range, this is an easy and straightforward climb. Most of it is above the tree line on a ridge that is exposed to severe winds and weather. Make your descent early to avoid the typical summer afternoon thunderstorms.
