Boulder: Walden Ponds Trail
Boulder, CO

Boulder: Walden Ponds Trail
The ponds—reclaimed gravel pits—now support a variety of wildlife, including waterfowl, songbirds, and mammals (beaver, deer, muskrats, and red fox). The hike around the ponds offers incredible views of the Indian Peaks. Interpretive nature signs along Cottonwood Marsh explain the history and geology of the area. This is a perfect family hike and a nice alternative for those needing accessible trails.
