Boulder Lake
Explore one of the few trails that reaches into the true wilderness of the eastern basins of the Gore Range. This hike to lovely, secluded Boulder Lake uses part of the Gore Range Trail, an up and down forest walk with few vistas until you reach the lake. The Gore Range Trail extends for over 50 miles along the eastern slopes of the Gore Range, from above Green Mountain Reservoir on the north, to Copper Mountain on the south. Despite this easy access on its eastern side, very few trails penetrate the Eagles Nest Wilderness to reach into the high basins of the Gore Range. It remains true wilderness for the intrepid hiker.
