Bison Peak Summit Trail
Tarryall, CO

Bison Peak Summit Trail
Magical rock formations atop the peak are incredible to behold. The hike in is long but peaceful; anyone in decent shape will be able to handle the class 1 trail. Beside the impressive rock gardens, Bison’s place as the highpoint of the Tarryall Mountains offers beautiful panoramas of Pike National Forest and several Mosquito Range peaks. The isolation and grandeur of this peak bring to mind images of the fabled Elysian Fields of Greek mythology. Blur your vision, and watch the monoliths turn into a herd of giant bison!
