Oaks and Willows Trail
Autumn is the prettiest time to visit this trail, with its cooler temperatures and changing leaves. Spring is a close runner-up, however, thanks to mild temperatures, showy wildflowers, and the neon light cast by the tender new leaves of the Gambel oaks. Once you ascend Juniper Mesa, you will understand why it is important to check summertime temperatures before planning your trip: this trail gets hot. The plateau offers pretty views and level but exposed trekking.
