North Kaibab Trail
Although they are separated by only 10 air miles, the South Rim and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon are worlds apart. Only 10 percent of the millions of people who visit the park each year ever make it to the remote North Rim. For hikers that means a less crowded alternative to the popular Bright Angel and South Kaibab trails. Beginning at the North Rim, the North Kaibab Trail provides a longer, but in many ways more interesting, avenue to the canyon bottom.
