Bonito Crater
A cross-country hike through a lunar-like landscape in Sunset Crater National Monument. You'll look down at the jagged Bonito Lava Flow, which looks like it just poured out of the ground. In fact, the lava is more than 700 years old. Even so, life has found its way onto the shattered rock, as evidenced by the large pine trees.
