If you don't want to open your gift registry online or over the phone, you can fill out a PDF application form and send it to us via fax or U.S. mail. To do so, follow these instructions:
When we receive your form, we'll set up your gift registry and send you an e-mail containing the information you'll need to log in. We'll contact you if we have questions or require additional information.

Why is my search for a gift registry returning no results?
You may have misspelled the recipient's name. Try entering only the first few letters of the person's first and last names. If searching for a wedding registry, make sure to try the names of both the bride and groom.
Is gift boxing available for Gift Registry items?
Yes. Just indicate that you are sending items as gifts at step #5 of checkout. You'll then be able to choose among several gift-delivery options, including gift boxing.
What should I do if I forget my gift registry password?
No worries—we can send you a reminder.
If I already have an REI.com Account, do I need to create another password for REI Gift Registry?
No, you can log in with the email address/user name and password you already selected to access Your Account.
What does it mean when a product is available "in-store only"?
This means that the item is not available for purchase online but may be available at an REI store. To check on an item's availability, please give us a ring at 1-800-426-4840.

How do I announce my REI Gift Registry via e-mail?
Log in to your registry and choose the "Send E-mail Announcements" option.
If I create a gift registry, will you be sending me a lot of e-mail?
We'll send you a single confirmation e-mail when you create a registry. You can also choose to receive additional e-mail notifications about your registry. If you choose to receive these updates, we'll send you a reminder 30 days before your event and 14 days after your event.
What if I don't want my gift registry available over the internet?
On the Guest Access and Notification page, choose the "No-Internet" option. Your gift registry list will then only be available to guests at REI stores.
Will my personal information be available for others to see?
We display your name, city and state so that guests can locate your registry list through our search feature. We'll never show private information such as your mailing address or phone numbers. Read the full details of REI's privacy policy.
Can I open more than one gift registry?
Open as many gift registries as you like. You can use the same email address and password for multiple accounts.
Can I open a gift registry for someone else?
Of course! Feel free to create a registry for a son, daughter, spouse-or anyone you know who has a special event on the horizon such as a birthday or anniversary.
How quickly is my gift registry updated?
When a family member or friend buys something from your registry online, the update will appear within minutes of the transaction. Updates take approximately one hour for store purchases.
How long will my gift registry be available to me and my guests?
Your gift registry will be available for one full year from the event date.
Should I avoid choosing seasonal or clearance items for my registry?
If your event is months away, we suggest you avoid choosing seasonal or clearance items that may not be in stock in the future.
Should I check in on my registry from time to time?
It's a good idea to check in on your registry. You'll be able to see which items have been purchased and add more items if you'd like.
Why can't I find the orange "Add to Registry" button on product pages?
If you're creating a registry list, you'll need to log in to your registry before these buttons will appear. If you're buying a gift for someone else, you'll need to locate their registry list first.
