New for 2013! Kilimanjaro's Lemosho Route is considered to be the mountain's least traveled and most scenic trail. Hiking from the western side of the mountain, by the time we attain the summit, we have traversed Kilimanjaro's Shira Plateau and the Southern Circuit, taking in views of Kibo from many different angles. The longer ascent allows for increased acclimatization to the high altitude, which leads to a greater chance of reaching the summit. Reward your summit success with a safari! No trip to Africa is complete without seeing the magnificent wildlife. Highlights include wildlife viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park.
Mount Kilimanjaro's Marangu Route is a challenging and rewarding 6-day non-technical climb up the southeast side of the mountain. It is Kilimanjaro's oldest, most established route and the only one that offers dormitory hut accommodation. The trail passes through Kili's five ecological zones and the famed "saddle," a wide, flat plateau with the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi looming overhead. Reward your summit success with a safari extension! Highlights include wildlife viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park. View Slideshow
