REI Named One of the Country's "100 Best"
|
|
When FORTUNE magazine measured REI against a broad spectrum of organizations across the U.S., we were saluted! In 2007 REI placed #27 among the "100 Best Companies to Work for in America."
More feathers in our cap: We're one of just a handful of companies to have appeared on the list every year since the magazine began compiling it in 1998. In 2007, we also topped the separate list of companies that best encourage their employees to balance their work and personal lives.
"It's a great honor to be recognized as one of the country's best places to work," said Sally Jewell, REI President and CEO. "The biggest reason for our continued success is our passionate employees who not only inspire and educate our co-op members and customers for outdoor adventures, but enthusiastically volunteer in their communities."
How Winners Are Selected
FORTUNE evaluates companies on culture, policies, unique practices, and benefits. They also use the results of a random survey of 400 employees that measures fairness in management, pride in work, job satisfaction, and camaraderie.
