Baby Backpacks

I am looking for a baby backpack for a father, 6 ft 4 inches, 250 lbs. There are numerous choices from Osprey, Deuter, and Kelty, but which of them would be sized for a man with those measurements?

Hello there @Steve_McM !

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!  It is true that there are several options when it comes to selecting a child carrier. The good news is that they are designed to fit almost every torso length so there is quite a bit of versatility. This is especially helpful if two people plan on using the carrier interchangeably.

The three brands you mentioned are certainly very reputable and popular amongst parents. There are some variations when it comes to design and features. Here is a great article that can help you decide what is important to you.

For specific recommendations, I think the Deuter Active carrier is a great option as well as the Osprey Poco carrier.

Both of these carriers have a considerable range to accommodate various torso lengths. You can find help on measuring your torso here .

Hope this helps and gets the baby out on the trail!
