Really disappointed with this bag. The temperature control “gills” are a great idea in theory, but the zipper design completely ruins the experience. The zipper constantly catches the surrounding fabric to the point that it’s almost impossible to open or close smoothly. I encountered this issue immediately upon unpacking it, and the fabric even started to tear just from trying to use it normally. For a product at this price point, this is a major design flaw. A sleeping bag should be simple and reliable, not frustrating to use right out of the box
I bought this 3 months ago now and have used it dozens of times. I just last night spent the night in 38° and wind. The 35° marker on the bag is the extreme, so I was chilly in my tshirt and shorts, but I put some pants on and I warmed up nice. The bag compacts nice and small, and weighs like nothing. And I love it. Treat it nice and it’s amazing. The one flaw is the gill zippers are small which means they can snag. But it’s a light weight sleeping bag. The people complaining about the zippers are right about it snagging, but it’s their own incompetence in my opinion. But I’ve figured out how to zip it up quick without it snagging and can do it in the dark now.
2nd attempt with bag. Both brand new and never got to use because vent zipper got stuck on both. Won’t be making that mistake a 3rd time.
this is a great bag if you take care of it
Felt great trying it. Until I wanted to zip up the ventilation on the side. It’s near impossible to not get the zipper stuck on the ventilation material. It’s so loose that I had to stick a finger in there to keep it tight enough to not get caught. It still got caught. And on one side it got completely stuck and it messed up the sleeping bag.
Ventilation zipper didn't even make it one full zip before it impossibly snagged and tor a hole in the material, just happy it happened right away.
Used this camping a few weekends ago here in Texas. We are on the Verge of summer so it only got down to about 58. Super comfortable bag!
