Rated 5 out of 5 by from After first trip, five stars Great bag. 65L is PLENTY of room for a few day trip. All the right features in all the right places. I sweat a lot and this pack caused me no discomfort. Holds trekking poles, comes with a day hike backpack and rain cover. Looks nice and has three access locations to the inside; top, front and bottom which makes packing and sorting very easy. Has ability to hold a hydration bladder, I didn't try it out yet but I am planning on it. Has a small compartment for a sleeping bag so watch out. Plenty of storage on the hip belt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice improvements I had a Z65 that suffered a manufacturing failure. It was replaced with the new and updated Zulu 65. The increased shoulder and waist padding is nice and will I believe be more durable. The new tool loops are great too. The stretching pockets for water bottles are much easier to use than on the Z65 but the pockets are still not positioned such that I can get the bottles and replace them myself as easily as I'd like but they are better. Perhaps I'll add the hydration bladder to free the pockets for other things. It packs well, balances well and for someone like me that needs to make one pack work for many applications this is a great all around purchase. I'm not too excited about the external stretching pocket that is supposed to make getting gear easier. I think I like the old zipper in the middle back pocket better but I may be converted. Its a great pack for SAR, day hikes with kids and a couple nights out over a weekend. If a 4.5 rating were possible I'd go for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first pack - really comfortable I bought this for rim to rim hike at Grand Canyon. I like the comfort of how it set on my hips even with +30 lbs of weight. The straps and adjustments made even more sense as I loaded it up. Used rain cover with some torrents and worked really well. My only query/ issue is the actual amount of compartments. Multiple zips make it easy To access the main compartment, not sure if that max flexibility is best as opposed to several smaller compartments. Two compartments on fold over top and one external.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Simple with lots of room Bought this month. Adequate room. Comfortable. Cool. Bag material wore out over internal frame corner. A little disappointed. These hot spots should be reinforced.
