Rated 4 out of 5 by from perfect for cold MTB I wanted a technical shell pant that i could wear in the colder months for MTB rides and they have been great so far. The fronts are thick soft shell that break the wind and the rear is super breathable so they hot when your heart rate is up. Ive used them on a few rides already on temps 20f and 30f, they were perfect. I tried them on a slightly warmer ride and they were a little too hot. The zip ankle cuffs are great as they can be zipped down when its cold and up when you are feeling hot. They bottom cuff is pretty tight tho, i cant seem to zip it all the way down and have it of the tongue of my cycling shoes but even with partial zip the zipper seems to stay in whatever position you put it in, so only minor annoyance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a second layer of running tights I bought these pants to use as a second layer on top of my running tights. These work great for those really cold days with a lot of wind, cases where the wind chill dips close to or below zero.

Hello, I am considering buying these pants for bicycle touring. What temperature range do you think they will work fine and when will they start to be too hot to ride on them with a thin baselayer underneath?

Asked by: tevas
We're sorry, but we do not provide temperature ratings on clothing because warmth depends on many different variables including activity level, metabolism and perspiration along with the other clothing you're wearing.
