Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised how good this is First off, I love fried rice being Japanese, and I was a little leery about trying something new while backpacking but I was pleasantly surprised how tasty and filling this was. I know it says for 2.5 servings but I ate the whole packet myself. So I have to tell you that the rice doesn't taste fried at all but I could have cared less after three nights of hiking. It really taste more like chicken soup with rice and eggs which is actually wonderful. It's got great chicken flavor and texture too. I really love the egg pieces. I'm definitely going to buy more of these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tasty and good We enjoyed this dish up in the enchantments. It is good for two moderately hungry people, but if I'm very hungry, I can wolf it all down :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all around meal I bought this twice as a meal and everytime I ate it I felt re-energized and ready to take on the trail again. Keep on the side to add EXACTLY the amount of water it says or a little less so it's not too mushy and runny. It has vegetables and your proteins and carbs. I think this will be one of my favorites for awhile!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's fine Like another reviewer, I think some soy sauce (perhaps in a small packet like you get from Chinese take-out) would be a good addition. Or else just a little extra salt in the recipe. I often split the Mountain House packages. 2 1/2 servings split in half is barely enough for one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very tasty It didn't taste at all like Chicken Fried Rice. The only good thing to say about this meal is that the water did get absorbed properly. Suffice it to say, we won't be purchasing this again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost great Tasted great though it could have used some soy sauce. The texture was off since fried rice is usually light and fluffy and this was a bit soggy. That said, I will buy it again.
