Rated 4 out of 5 by from more soup than chowder, if prepared as directed We had two of these on our latest trip. Second time around, we cut the water by about a half a cup and found the texture to be much improved. Decent flavor, although again, the second time around we added garlic powder and pepper, which really pepped it up. It is definitely a side dish, and not a meal on its own. But as a side, very, very nice

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great taste Love the taste of this but using the suggested amount of water makes it a very thin soup and not a chowder. Will have to experiment but believe I could cut the water by 1/3 to 1/2 and it would be fine. Potatoes have a strange consistency but otherwise this is a great trail option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Was it me? Could have been that I mis-measured but mine was like soup.........tried to share it with someone and they complained that it was too spicy. Not my favorite.
