Am I to assume that you must be conscious in order for this to work? If you are in trouble on the water and not able to pull the cord, etc., how is this going to help you?

Asked by: Deb67
The pull handle needs to be physically pulled to deploy this PFD.

If you swim while wearing the pack, do you have to unpack and let air dry after?

How exactly do you re-pack it after it's deployed? And must you replace the CO2 cartridge each time?

Asked by: jaime007
The cartridge is not reusable with this pack. To repack, make sure to expel all air from the yellow inflation chamber, and ensure the pack is clean and dry. Remove the old CO2 cylinder and dispose of it correctly and then install the new CO2 cylinder according to the visual instructions with the belt. Then, with it lying flat, fold the inflation chamber in half by folding under and then in half again by folding over. Then, half that amount one more time by folding under, and the cylinder and manual valve with be sitting on top, in line with the belt. Slip the folded chamber into the blue belt sleeve with the pull/jerk tab sticking out.
