Read More I got this watch after returning a fit bit Surge. I liked the Surge but it isn't water proof and the first time I wore it, it fogged up. I am glad it failed as this is much better. First I LOVE how it integrates with your phone and computer using Polar Flow and Polar Beat. I love that you can customize what is displayed on the watch during workouts. The best part is that you can make your customizations on the on line app Polar Flow. For example I mainly do 4 different types of excercise: Mountain Biking, Spinning, walking and working out on an Elliptical. Within 5 minutes I was able to easily set up each workout and what is displayed I am 100% happy with this purchase. -

Read More I will not say much about the functionality of the device as it is fantastic. There are as many options available as needed and the companion app is beautiful. I like to hike, walk, and run, and the GPS watch works beautifully for that; I especially like using the GPS for walking with a stroller or mowing where my arms are not actually moving. The activity tracking is not needed but is a nice plus. Having read only this far you would think I am over the moon with the product, that is halfway true. I am actually really torn and am considering returning the device. I have owned it for less than a month and the watch has considerable wear and tear. I try to wear it daily because of the activity tracking but minor bumps and bruises of everyday use are visibly present. The watch face has a decent size scratch on it and the band is showing considerable scuffs. The watch itself is also very large and bulky which is fine for hiking, jogging, etc. But wearing while sleeping or everyday use is quite obtrusive. The band is also way too large for my medium to smaller wrists and wraps around almost to the front of the face, further hurting the visual appeal. Visually i am also not a fan, yes its big, but the accent of red on black is plain ugly in my opinion and the 5 buttons are also not appealing. It's hard not to recommend this watch because of all of the functionality at a reasonable price and a great app but if I don't feel comfortable wearing it everyday and i have visible wear and tear after a month its hard to envision that I am still wearing this a year from now.
Read More I purchased the white M400 in March 2015. I wanted a GPS watch for a hiking vacation we had planned last summer. At the time, the M400 offered the most functionality for the lowest price. I waited to write this review because I wanted to see how the watch, polar flow website and polar flow app performed and improved over time. It seems technology these days is thrown out there with minimal functionality/testing and then improved over time with firmware and software upgrades. It took me awhile to get used to this concept, but I guess it's the only way to roll out technology before it is obsolete. I was happy with the watch/web/app when I first purchased, but I am very pleased with all of the improvements over time. The recovery status in polar flow web is a great feature I use every day. The more I investigate the information available, the more I am impressed. The downside is that the watch is really too big for everyday office wear. When my Fitbit one died, I replaced it with a Polar Loop 2 for every day wear. The M400 and Flow 2 sync perfectly across the Polar platform and give me a great picture of both my activity and training. Far, far better information than what I was able to get from Fitbit. Polar is however limited in integration with other products/apps. I am happy with my decision to go Polar!
