Read More The product received so much hype about how it was going to revolutionize activity trackers, but it simple does not work. It was supposed to be able to tell the difference between cycling, running, walking and general sports activity. I purchased it for cycling and after using for a few weeks it could never detect I was cycling. It always registered as general sports. It also does not track the miles traveled accurately. A 70 mile bike race showed up as just a half a mile of activity. With the tracking of miles not working it brings into question all the other measures it supposed to do around how fatigued your are or aren't. The worse part is their customer service was useless. They offered no real technical support and admitted that it was not very good a tracking cycling (despite having a separate band for your ankle just for cycling). I finally returned it for a full refund, I wish i could get back the time I wasted trying to ge this to work. Save your money, don't buy it.
Read More It's like having a coach on your arm. I'm training for an expedition to Kilimanjaro & needed some motivation to make my race weight & train for the mountain. The Rein is great, it's really comfortable, I hardly notice it's on my wrist & I generally do not wear any jewelry. It takes about 10 days to get to know you & you have to be patient with it in the first week, which may be why there are some bad reviews, it's a smart technology that through heart rate variables gets to learn you, so the more you work with it the better it gets. My Rein has already taught me a few things about my sleep patterns & how my mind fights my body when it comes time to train. I have an anxiety condition & sometimes I get anxious around training time due to high expectations, the Rein gives my body a voice. My wife likes the Goal setting feature & I find it ok too but the sleep & recovery data is more important to me right now. I understand that soon Jaybird will have a 'REIN in the Cloud' website where you will be able to track your data over time. For now it's a twice daily check in with my body to see where I am at. I believe it's way more accurate at counting calories than any of the free iPhone APPs but I us it along with these APP's to record calories & this has already helped me loose weight! Great Activity Tracker.
