Read More My first Flash did great for 5 months before it mysteriously stopped working. Around this same time the holder on the sport band snapped (sidenote: the only thing keeping it secure is being pressed against your wrist, so it falls out all the time). Customer service was awesome and replaced it even when I lost the Flash and couldn't send it back. Unfortunately, my second Flash stopped working after a month (looked like it got water in it, even though it's supposed to be water resistant for tracking your swimming). I'm not contacting customer service again; I'm just going to go with another brand. It's an okay tracker and the app is well done, but you're better off spending another $50 for a much better tracker. -

Read More This worked in the water, tracked my sleep, worked when walking, worked when dancing, worked when jogging. It worked for me.. and I can see that the battery is still full. There is one problem I don't have it. It slipped out of the wristband and I have no idea where. Misfit needs to provide some other way of securing this in. I purchased right before Christmas and lost it after the 3rd or 4th time of it slipping out of its holder Feb 22 or 23rd. -

Read More This was our family's (and mine) first fitness tracker. I got this because it was cheap, waterproof, and tracked my sleep. The fact it told time was a bonus. I've had this now since the beginning of November and it's still going strong. First thing I did was open the back to see and close it again to see if changing the battery would be an issue and if it would compromise the waterproofing. It did not. I then showered with it and dunked it into water. I wore it straight for about two months (showering with it everyday) It popped out once or twice but it was due to user error. First you need to hear the faintest little click noise and you have to wear it "tight" (I put it in quotes because it's not uncomfortably tight) just not loose. In fact how my daughter wears it and her wrist is too small still. She hasn't had the pop it once on her. I loved that I could put in my pocket or the clasp for stationary biking. It's also very light. The sleep tracking was spot on. In any case it got me to move more again. Once you have kids (or at least me) I exercised a lot less. I attribute this little thing to getting me back into the swing of things. We have since gotten the Shine for my wife (she wanted something a little more attractive) and I just got the Fitbit Surge (I wanted the HR...since now I'm not completely sold one). As mentioned my older daughter now uses the Flash. Pros: Relatively cheap, auto sleep detect, syncs with iOS and Android. It can track stationary cycling (not automatically, you have to tell it) but it does a better job than my Surge at a fraction of the cost), tells time, and you don't have to wear it on your wrist. Oh and it can sync to your phone and use it's GPS to track your location for runs and walks. It's small and I think more attractive than some other trackers. I think it's very comfortable too. Oh and you don't have to charge this thing. It runs on watch batteries and can last for MONTHS not days or even hours compared to other fitness trackers. Not even 1/2 through the battery yet after 2-2.5 months. Cons: You can only see your actual steps when you sync it to your smartphone. You can lose it if you don't properly put it on I guess. Doesn't have too many other fancy functions. Just steps, sleeping, calories, and time. In the end we liked it enough to get the more expensive Shine. Also there are times where it takes a try or two to sync. I don't think this is an issue with the Misfit. I have similar issues with my Surge well and the Shine. I think there are just too many bluetooth devices in a household these days. If you are thinking of trying fitness trackers out. I think this is a good entry level one. In fact I think if you ever upgrade to other trackers you'll end up missing some of the attributes of the Flash. I do even with my Surge. -

Read More I bought this on a whim after my FitBit gave me the dreaded rash. As a tracker, this thing is fantastic. very light and minimal, and it gives you just enough feedback to be informative without feeling overwhelmed. I love that I never had to charge it, and it's actually waterproof! They don't seem to list it, but it also has a neat clock feature where the lights flash to the closest 5 minutes, so you can use it as a minimal watch as well. I also really like the companion app, and the sleep tracking seems to be pretty accurate. Again, pretty basis but it has all the necessary things on there. Where this product massively fails is the included mounts. First, the tracker doesn't fit fully within the wrist band and dongle thing. It's designed to press against your wrist to help hold it in, but in reality this doesn't work at all. It was constantly popping out and would catch on clothing. My girlfriend wanted to try it, and managed to get it to pop out while washing her hair in the shower. I never tried the clip on, mainly because I didn't trust it. Now, you may have noticed that I've been speaking in the past tense. Thats because I no longer have my Shine. What finally did my Misfit in was the wrist snapping in half while on a hike, right where the pin is. As far as I can tell, it caught on my sleeve ripped in half. So, my misfit is now buried in the snow somewhere near the summit of mailbox. -

Read More I had this on for about 6 hours when the band, or the part holding the fob, snapped at the 3:00 position. Although I wish I could report that my Everest summit had taken it down, sadly, I had simply done a treadmill run at the gym and was making dinner when it apparently caved to my powers as a domestic goddess. And it was a simple stove-top meal, I wasn't even roasting a mastodon over an open fire (this time). I opted for the less expensive of the fitness bands because, frankly, domestic goddess powers are awesome but the pay isn't. And I liked having the option of the wristband or the clip-on so that I didn't potentially look like one of those dorks waving their fitband-fitted wrists high in the air for all the world to see their physical awareness. Great concept. Wait for Misfit Flash v.2. -

Read More i had this exactly 31 days before it stopped working 1 day past the time i could return it. up tot hen it was pretty good at tracking activity and intensity of activity. It also tracked sleep. it can track swimming as well but you have to set and sync beforehand., but it stopped. You can read other reviews on other sites that state the same. It is faulty equipment and the company should not be putting it out there when they KNOW it doesn't last longer than 30 days.
Read More I got this for a gift and really wanted an activity tracker that doesn't need to be charged frequently. In that it excels. However, the tracker doesn't snap in to the band so if you're bony or wear the band loose you're likely to lose the tracker. I wore it on a clip. For 27 days. It lost about 4 days worth of data and had inaccurate data (device and app didn't match) on about 4 more days. The app seemed like it couldn't figure out what time zone I was in to mark the beginning of a new day. Every so often I'd check it and couldn't see the lights, but I thought that I was possibly in too bright light. Nope, it just doesn't work sometimes. Don't waste your money.
