Read More I have had my watch for a little over a year now. I wanted to make sure I had it for awhile instead of making a quick decision. This watch does absolutely everything and if you pick the settings right will even tell you when you need to get off your butt and get going. Its great!! The only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is one - the wrist strap with get you if you wear it too much. I have seen other people have had issues there are times after wearing it for a long time it will leave a rash. Nothing too serious and the second thing I get so mad about is that if I forget to bring my chest sensor the reading is so drastically off. I wish it didn't rely that much on the chest sensor. It honestly is barely worth working out without it if you are going for tracking. Otherwise besides those two things I love it and it is compatible with so many things. I bought the speed and cadence counter so I can ride my bike on my trainer and have had no issues. I'm about to get the scale and hoping that it is worth the hype. Definitely recommend this to any triathlete (or person) who needs a watch that will keep them accountable.

The combination of activity monitoring, sleep analysis and workout/exercise profiles gives you a great picture of all you do. If you can get past the price, you will love it!

Read More I bought the v800 about 4 months ago and used it about 4-6 days a week to workout. I would run, weight lift, swim, or even kayak! Aside from working out with it I wore it 24/7 as my main watch and occasionally took showers with it on with no problems. Two days ago it was on low battery so I went to charge it. I left it on the charger for about 4 hours and when I took it off it was at the same percentage it was 4 hours prior to charging(10%). I thought at first that it could have been the outlet or that I plugged it in wrong so I charged it again and this time the screen went white. I looked at the charger port and there is a lot of corrosion around the edges. Not sure if this is the problem but it seems to be. I hope to get a watch from this because I cannot use it at all now.

Read More This watch is very disappointing. The interface that connects it to the computer rusted from corrosion (due to sweat), and I had to send it in to get fixed (i.e. place a cover over the watch interface). Then, once it seemed to be working again, the bluetooth on its watch lost its connectivity to the strap, and a factory reset still will not restore connectivity. Overall, very disappointed with the product and its reliability. I am a professional skier who demands top performance from my training products, and this product is a failure.

Read More When this product finally came to the market in the middle of last year I was EXTREMELY excited and after using only a short time I wrote a "glowing review" based on the many features and uses of the product. In fact, I purchased a second one from someone who really had no need for many of the features. Well, when it comes to features this thing is STILL A 10 as they continue to upgrade the platform. however, as others have said, the design of the sync port was not meant to keep up with heavy use and multiple and constant sync failures plague the unit after being used a while. Cleaning is constantly required for the port to work and the plastic of the band broke around the port on my first unit. This detracts from the value and design grades for this product. The M400 hundred has fewer features but has a covered micro USB port. I wish the V800 did. It would change this update completely. I have recommended the M400 to the people I train and they have no problems. I love the added features of the V800 which now even gets notifications from my phone. So I put up with the maintenance of keeping the port clean .... Bummer. So I no longer recommend this unless someone REALLY wants or needs the features AND, as it does for me, those outweigh the flaws.

Read More I accidently deleted a session from Polar Flow and couldn't retrieve it even though it was still on my watch. Also there is no way to delete a single lap which is a major flaw since it sometimes records a bad lap. Every other major software allows this. Not sure who architected this but it wasn't a software designer. Watch is nice and has some very good features but the web software is a real killer.

Read More I bought this last year and used it now for a year. Basically, the V800 had many profiles that I have used. I have used it running, on the treadmill, swimming, and once on the bicycle. I am happy with many of the metrics that it provides which enables me to pay attention to how well I am doing my sessions. I currently have it paired with the H7 heart sensor and the stride sensor. I really like the training load feature that enables me to tailor my weekly sessions to not over train. Still in the year, there are some problems. The big problem is the charging and interface cord in time becomes a problem. The spring hinge on the clip is a bad idea because the two contacts close to the hinge have the worst contact. A change would be to make a clamp straight on the back and front of the watch or have springs for each individual contact. Yes, I do keep the whole watch clean especially the contacts even on the charging clip. But, until this change happens I have to hold the clamp tight on the watch to sync to the computer. This problem makes the data transfer seem too long with some data transfer I think is unnecessary like exercise profiles even though I do not change them. Other than the charging clip, the watch with many metrics and exercise profiles can give even an active if not professional sports person work out information. One does need to know that calories and energy are always estimated, but with this product these products are consistent and provide trends as plotted on Polar Flow. Even after a year, I still have fun with the watch and the sensors. In short, this watch may be too much unless you are like me-- an active person who likes gadgets. It may be a little expensive.
