Rated 5 out of 5 by from My very favorite poles I first purchased the Leki Cressida poles in February of 2011. I have always been satisfied with them. They do collapse and fit in my pack so (until my last trip) I have been able to have them in my carryon luggage. Unfortunately, even though I have a physician's note that I need them to walk after two back surgeries and the need for a third surgery, security in A Coruna, Spain, took them away from me and probably threw them in the trash. After looking around at other poles I still liked these the best, even though I have a spare pair of another brand at home. So I ordered another pair and am happily using them again. What I really like about them is the design of the grip with space to separate your index finger from the rest of them. The grip is cork, which can get stinky after a while, but by soaking them overnight in shampoo, they are fine for another 500 miles. I have walked 1600 miles with them in Europe and probably at least that in the US. The only thing I wish they came with was rubber tips, but I purchase them separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best trekking poles for me! About 15 years ago I bought a pair of Leki poles and even though I loved them and we'd seen many happy miles together, I decided to buy new poles. About 2 months ago I bought another brand from REI--primarily because they were on sale and seemed to have good features. Then I went to Colorado for 3 weeks to hike in the Rockies. I was not happy with the new poles! The grip was too large for my hand and several times I pinched the palm of my hand in their "easy" height adjusting mechanism! After I returned home I remembered REI's guarantee and was able to return the poles and got the Leki Cressida poles as a replacement. I've already used them hiking for about 20 miles--the grip fits my hand AND the Leki adjustment mechanism works as smooth as can be! Well worth the extra $30 I paid for the exchange. Can't say enough good things about Leki and especially REI and their exceptional service! Two thumbs up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very light I am happy with these poles. They are very light and slender. The section adjustments have measurement lines so over extending would be hard to do. The grip feels nice to the hand. I would buy these again

WHY DOES THE DESCRIPTION SAY SUPPORTS 120 POUNDS? IS THIS THE WEIGHT OF THE PERSON USING THESE TREKKING POLES?

Asked by: TRALEE
The '120 pounds' is really a reference to the downward force on the pole; this value is not indicative of a person's weight (with or without a pack).
