Rated 1 out of 5 by from top heavy, bumps open, i-phones only I wanted to love this and I do love all other timbuk2 products, but...it wont fit an LG G4, Samsung 6 or other droids; its very top heavy once a phone is in the lid, and a slight pavement crack or bump will flip the lid open and out goes your stuff. Velcro barely holds, and when stopping at red lights the leg you keep on the high side pedal, ends up knee bumping the small goody box. Nice color though. Overall: fail.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't stay closed with iPhone 6 I got the small one and it just barely fits my iPhone 6. I like the rigidity of the unit but the bag doesn't stay closed. They should offer a refund for all who purchased it since they probably lost whatever that was in it. I called before buying and they said it would hold the iPhone 6. The phone does fit the slot but it fits the lid so much so that it prevents the lid from closing properly. I have to put a small bungee cord on it to keep the lid closed. A larger flap and possibly some rare earth magnets would have made this bag a winner. Not sure they realize but Velcro does not really work when wet too do for a device meant to be used outdoors, it couldn't possibly work well. Rather disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fit problems on racing bike Wanted to use this on street bike to hold phone, keys and inner tube. Size was right, design good for lid. Unfortunately it didn't stay put on my bike. Flopped around on top tube no matter how tight straps were. Straps on top tube too thick to clear brake cable. Strap for stem barely reached stem. Why does front of bag slope opposite way every bike stem does? Weird. As a result, front of bag doesn't get support from stem. Sloping front other way would make more room inside bag as well. Maybe the 2016 model will work better for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flawed Design I so wanted to love this bag! I bought the white under seat bag and wanted a matching bag for the top tube (Bento bag/box.) Well, if my bike gets jostled, the top pops off. I took a spill last week and the contents of my bag flew out. Today, I rode over a good bump and the lid popped off - and out fell my Shok Bloks. I heard them fall, but we never found them. For a longer ride (50+ miles,) I really needed those. Alas, they fell out. Even if my hand brushes it or I am lifting my leg close to the bag on the right, it pops open. Pretty bag, but it has a design flaw. I guess if you use this to teedle around town and don't need the contents for longer rides, it would be okay.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No stand over space I thought this was a great idea. However after I placed it on the bike I find that there is little free space between the handle bars and the seat to stand. This will be true for most people who have a normal top tube.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice craftsmanship but a little too wide I bought this because the red matched my Specialized Ruby Pro beautifully. Unfortunately, when I'm in my stands climbing, my knees hit it. I returned it and am going to try to fine a bento box that is no wider than the top tube.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not up to par I picked up the 2015 small goody bag, as the 2014 version does not fit an iPhone 6 in the window portion. Pros: a phone is easily inserted to the integrated cover/flap plus it holds a few incidental cards and tools/tubes/snacks. Cons: on a modern road bike (stemless, w/ flat top tube) this design just doesn't work. It's due to the way most top tube and stem configurations are angled to each other, you will have difficulty securing the Velcro on the cover. Perhaps it may work better on a mountain bike (with an extremely angled top tube), In addition, the bag is obtrusive, and takes up much real estate along the top. Going to reset and look for a bag to fit inside the upper triangle instead. I would not suggest this product for a road bike.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful product... you will lose your belongings This product is awful. The velcro isn't strong enough to hold the bag shut so even if you're riding on pavement, it will bounce open and all of your belongings will go flying. So, not only did you spend the money on this product, you will also end up spending money to replace the items you put inside for your ride. This product ended up costing me an additional $50 to replace my belongings and a trip to the DMV to get a new license. Timbuk2 should have included a zipper or a clip... but this design is horrible.

Will this work with a Giant's rectangular cross bar? Or are the rip-and-stick straps too short?

Asked by: MOBIUSMan
Timbuk2 does not believe the Goody Box Frame Bag will work on a rectangular top tube. You are of course more than welcome to purchase the bag and return it within one year if it does not meet your needs.
